Vigneron Notes:

Sourced from the organically grown J&J family site, this single vineyard shiraz was produced in one of the best vintages seen in McLaren Vale in over a decade. Comprising of the fruit at the northern end of the property, making up the "buffer zone" this fruit cannot be classed as organic due to the close proximity to the neighbouring, non organic vineyard. The long even ripening period of the 2009-2010 growing season allowed the fruit to develop to its full flavour potential. Open fermentation and careful ageing in French and American oak gives the wine balance and complexity.
